How should I store my chocolates? 

Chocolates will keep best a cool room temperature. They should be stored in a dry place that is well ventilated and away from any heat source. Specifically, we recommend not exceeding 70°F or a relative humidity of 60 percent. Because chocolates easily absorb odors, storage in the refrigerator should be avoided. However, if you find that a long, hot summer makes refrigeration absolutely necessary, be sure to seal your box in an airtight container or wrapping beforehand. Keep in mind that while extremes in temperature may change the color and appearance of chocolate, it won't change the taste. It's perfectly okay to eat :)

Amazon sells your candy for less. Can I just buy it there?

Purchasing our candies online from retailers such as Amazon or eBay should be done at your own risk. While we do have resellers who utilize Amazon, they are limited. Purchasing from the Lammes proprietary website assures you will receive product we can guarantee. We can make no claims for freshness, promptness, or quality if our products are purchased from an unauthorized reseller.

Do you offer volume discounts for gifting or events?

Can you deliver, ship, or pre-order Lammes Chocolate Covered Strawberries here on the website?

Not at this time unfortunately. Our scrumptious chocolate covered strawberries are truly something special, and people drive from all over Texas to purchase them. We offer them in our retail stores for a limited time throughout the year, nearly once a month except for July, August, November and December. Due to the perishable nature of this fresh fruit, they require special handling; thus, Lammes Chocolate Covered Strawberries are available only through our retail stores—first come, first serve.

The demand for Lammes Chocolate Covered Strawberries cannot be overstated, especially Valentine's Day and the days leading up to it. We understand why you'd want to secure your strawberries ahead of time. Unfortunately, we cannot set stock aside. We work diligently to provide each of our retail stores with the many pounds of strawberries to satisfy our customers.

Can I ship Chocolate Covered Strawberries myself?

Shipping, while very reliable for most of our confections, has its quirks. Because we are dealing with fresh produce, our chocolate covered strawberries are far more sensitive than our other offerings, and we choose not to ship this delicate product. We wish we could send them anywhere, but we want your treats to arrive in perfect condition. The vast changes in temperature alone could result in less-than-perfect confections. We also recommend they be enjoyed within 48 hours of purchase.

Although we have no official delivery partner at this time, customers have shared success using delivery apps like Favor to get their strawberries in a pinch. Please hire these services at your own risk!

Do you offer tours?

If you’re a local, you might recall that we used to offer tours. Since then, we have significantly increased our manufacturing output and equipment, leaving too little floor space for guests per FDA safety guidelines. 

Where do you source your chocolate?

We proudly source our chocolate from a wonderful family owned company-- much like our own!-- Guittard Chocolate Company in California. Our chocolate is made right here in the USA, and it truly is the best chocolate we've ever tasted. We would never settle for less. Resellers

You are likely to find Lammes Candies in many stores around the United States who are purveyors of fine candies, especially in Texas. All of the major airports carry us in their gift shops, and so do many hospitals. If your local mall has a shop that specializes in Texas souvenirs, you may find us there. Ask your local gift shop if they carry Lammes Candies. You would be surprised at how many will say YES! If you are desperate to find a local shop which carries Lammes Candies, contact us. Can you ship your candies year round?

Five of our candies ship year-round, to anywhere! That includes:

• Taffy Kisses
• Divinity
• Peanut Brittle
• Carmelitos 

However, during summer months, usually May through October, our chocolate and other meltable confections can only be shipped via UPS Ground to Texas and surrounding states, for a small additional ice pack fee. We can ship to some other states in the Midwest and Southeast U.S. with the purchase of a 2nd Day Air upgrade in addition to the ice pack fee. We are unable to ship chocolate at all during warm weather months to the West Coast, the Northeast, the upper Midwest without expedited shipping. We are not able to ship meltables across international borders if there is hot weather along the shipping route. If you insist, you assume all risk. Please inquire with our Mail Order department at 1-800- 252-1885 to ship our candies anywhere! We'll gladly take unique situations into consideration.

Do your products contain gluten?

At the present time, none of the items we sell online contain wheat. However, many of our products contain soy, which is often processed on the same equipment as wheat. Our products also share equipment with products that contain wheat, peanuts, and tree nuts.

Will you open a Lammes location in my city?

Your city probably has a beloved hometown candy store, which is what we are to the people in Austin. We recommend you shop at your hometown candy store, and ask them to stock their shelves with Lammes Candies!
